I was so excited to shoot Janine & Mike’s wedding at the Mallard Island Yacht Club – I had shot there once before, and absolutely LOVE this venue. It’s absolutely gorgeous, and they had such a perfect day for a wedding on the water:) Mike is in the Navy, so I hadn’t met him until the day of the wedding….but I worked with Janine before, and I just knew I’d love them as a couple. Their story is a unique one – they actually dated for 2 years in high school, then fell out of touch. Fast forward a few years to a mutual friend inviting a bunch of friends out for dinner….they were both there, hit it off, and the rest is history:) I love how adventurous these two are….they have visited so many beaches, and even lived in St. Thomas for 4 months as few years ago. Now the Navy is taking them out to San Diego, where they’ll start their lives as husband and wife. So jealous of that location!
Here are some of my favorites from the day, and view their SLIDESHOW for even more wedding photos!
Loved the colors & details Janine picked out:
Such a gorgeous bride:)
I love these two below! The left is her “oh my gosh I’m getting married!” reaction, and come on….how STUNNING does she look on the right?
We headed to the beach for a few photos, before heading back to Mallard Island:
One of my favorites!
Another favorite! Thanks to my fabulous 2nd shooter, Jess, for this one:)
I could shoot at Mallard Island all day long – love the architecture there!
The reception room was breathtaking. Loved everything about it!
Love this night shot I grabbed before we ended the night:
