Well friends, 2018 has been a VERY good year so far! All of my wedding couples have been absolutely amazing in every single way. Lindsay + Zhubin were no exception, and I had so much fun being a part of their wedding last weekend. They were married at the Michener Art Museum, which is such a gorgeous venue in Doylestown, PA. Add in Lora, wedding planner extraordinaire who designed the wedding, and the whole day was pure perfection.
Lindsay + Zhubin live in NYC and are one of the coolest couples I’ve ever met. Zhubin is the head writer for the Daily show (guys, he has won an Emmy multiple times) and Lindsay is a talented author. She just wrote a book called Someday, Somewhere….I read it and it was amazing! You should all check it out. Their wedding totally matched their style – it was beautiful, effortless, and they did away with all of the normal wedding “traditions”, which I love. Advice to future wedding couples: Your wedding is all about YOU, make it what you want! Lindsay & Zhubin wanted their day to feel like an elegant dinner party, and that’s exactly what the day reflected. There was no bridal party, no introductions, no “formal” first dance. Just their closest friends and family coming together to celebrate an amazing couple. Their day was filled with so much love and joy, and it was a true honor to be a part of the celebration.
Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding day, and make sure to check out their SLIDESHOW for more wedding day pictures!
I mean, come on – have you ever seen a more beautiful diamond?!
I was loving all of these gorgeous details!
I was obsessed with her shoes too:)
Lindsay’s dress was so perfectly “her”. Isn’t the back detail gorgeous?!
Such a beautiful bride:)
Lindsay + Zhubin opted for a first look, which is always one of my favorite parts of the day!
We had such a perfect June day for their wedding. Not too hot, and gorgeous light. Perfect!
Aren’t these two such a gorgeous couple? They were so easy to photograph….
The sofreh was so beautiful – it’s an Iranian tradition.
The “sugar rubbing” is another Iranian tradition, to shower the couple with sweetness:)
Married!
I absolutely love working with Laurel & Elm – if you’re looking for a wedding planner, Lora is your girl!
I loved all of their details!
These paintbrushes were used as the seating chart. The guests then used these brushes to put gold foil leaf on a canvas, which Lindsay + Zhubin will display in their home. I loved this idea!
Lindsay’s dad sang and played the trombone for a few songs, which was such a special touch to the wedding day!
We ended with a sparkler exit, which is the perfect ending to any wedding:)
Congrats again, Lindsay + Zhubin! Your wedding was absolutely perfect in every way!
