We usually wait until the end of August for our annual family beach vacation, but this year we switched things up and scheduled it for mid-July instead. It’s funny how things just work out sometimes – because initially I was bummed we were doing our vacation so early in the summer, but it actually came at the perfect time. A time when I more than NEEDED a break.
I feel like the recurring theme of my self portraits is trying to find balance as a working mom. Here we are, Reagan is 10 months old, and I am still far from figuring it out. It’s tough, I feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day, but I just keep doing my best and telling myself all the work always gets done somehow;)
But a little R&R in Ocean City was the exact thing I needed this month. We had the MOST amazing weather, so I got lots of beach time in. I also for some reason wake up SUPER early now, so I was able to catch the sun rise on the beach a few mornings. Isn’t there just something magical and peaceful about a sunrise? I absolutely love watching sunrises. And watching it with my feet in the sand, listening to the waves crash? The BEST.
Happy Tuesday, friends!
