It’s time to sneak one last blog post in before I start my holiday break! Now that Jay is no longer in the law firm world (and gets normal vacation time), he has the next ELEVEN days off. I am so excited to spend the next week and a half with our little family of 3:) The holiday season is getting more and more fun each year as Reagan is getting older – I can’t believe Christmas is just 5 days away! I haven’t even STARTED wrapping any gifts yet – please tell me I’m not the only one! Soon, I promise!
I couldn’t start my holiday break before blogging Kimberly + Andrew’s gorgeous winter wedding! They were married in The Star Barn at Ironstone Ranch, which is such an immaculate, gorgeous, perfect venue! I always love shooting there:) These two were as sweet as can be, and make such an amazing pair. There was so much love and kindness surrounding their wedding day….it’s weddings like theirs that remind me how much I LOVE documenting weddings. It was a special, magical day, and I loved getting to celebrate right along with Kimberly + Andrew’s family and friends!
Here are a few of my favorites from Kimberly + Andrew’s wedding, and view their SLIDESHOW for even more wedding photos!
When winter weddings = evergreens in the bouquet? I love it!
Sparkly gold shoes?! You know I was in love with those;)
I loved this sweet moment between Kimberly and her mom:
Think she was excited to be getting married? I’m pretty sure this photo shows that yes, she was SUPER excited!
I’ve said it a million times, but it’s the little candid moments of a wedding day that are always my most favorite. For this image, I had on my 70-200mm lens, zoomed all the way in. I was on the other side of the room, so I have no idea what was being said. But it’s a sweet moment with Kimberly, her mom, and her two sisters. I’m sure they remember exactly what was being said in this moment, and I hope this photo brings them lots of joy in the memory:)
I always love those first moments a bride sees her self in her dress. The excitement is palpable!
Kimberly’s parents were so sweet, and you could tell how proud they are to have Kimberly as a daughter:
A First Look was a must with a winter wedding! When it is dark out by 4:30, you need to get portraits in early to take advantage of the natural light. Their First Look was so sweet!
It was such an emotional, sweet moment shared just between the two of them. Always a favorite part of the day for me:
I just adore the vibe of winter weddings, don’t you?!
I wish I could shoot through twinkle lights at every wedding:
There was so much happiness surrounding Kimberly + Andrew’s wedding!
There was a 100% chance of rain on their wedding day. Falling right over portrait time. Somehow, someway, we lucked out and had zero rain. We were all ready to go with clear umbrellas, but the weather gods were good to us! Two straight hours of zero rain….it was amazing!
The pine tunnel at Ironstone Ranch is one of my favorite spots!
Love these girls!
I loved these moments that Carisa was able to capture right before Kimberly was about to walk down the aisle with her dad!
I love all of these winter-y details!
I say it after every wedding, but photographing the speeches is one of my favorite parts of a wedding day. So much emotion. All candid. And when you snag photos like the one below? I feel like I hit the jackpot:)
Congrats Kimberly + Andrew, I hope you’re having the BEST time on your honeymoon!
