I was finally able to cross another trip off my bucket list – a visit to New Orleans! I had been wanting to go there for years, and we finally made a girls’ trip happen with my sister, step mom and step sister….we hadn’t all traveled together since I was in college, so it was about time for a repeat getaway;)
We spent 4 days eating and drinking our way through New Orleans, and I loved every minute of it! The food was SO GOOD (hello beignets!), and we happened to plan our trip over St. Patty’s Day…..which is SUPER fun in a town like New Orleans. Hence our colorful wigs in the photo above – where else can you pull something fun like that off than in New Orleans on St. Patty’s Day?! I think everyone needs to visit this town at some point in their lives!
One day I spent the morning walking around on my own, taking TONS of pictures of this gorgeous town. Here are some of my favorites!
New Orleans is full of life and so much color. I loved it there!
One of our multiple stops to Pat O’Brien’s – such a fun place!
We stayed at the French Market Inn, which is right in the French Quarter. I loved the little courtyard in our hotel:
I am so jealous of the plants on this porch. My black thumb kills all plants I bring to my house;)
Bourbon Street was just as fun as I imagined;)
We also headed over to the Garden District to see some of the gorgeous old mansions:
If you haven’t ever been to New Orleans, it’s time to plan your trip! It’s such a fun town!
